Signs for your business

Channel letters for offices and lobbies

Your logo on the wall behind the front desk is the first thing visitors and new hires see. Indoors it is seen up close, all day, so the finish matters more than brightness.

Which lighting style to choose

Indoors, the light only has to reach across a room.

Our pick

Halo-lit channel letters

Halo-lit is the classic lobby sign. The solid steel faces carry your logo and look finished under office lighting. The glow behind each letter adds depth without shining into the room or reflecting hard off screens and glass. It works on a feature wall, behind reception or beside the elevators.

Other options

Open-face neon fits a creative studio, a break room or a wall made for team photos. Front-lit is the better choice if the sign faces outside through a window, or must be read across a very large open space.

Planning your sign

General advice. Your drawing shows the exact sizes for your own wall.

Where it usually goes

Centered on the wall behind reception, high enough to clear the desk and anyone standing at it. In a shared lobby, on the wall facing the main entrance or the elevator doors.

Viewing distance

Usually from the front door to the desk: a few steps, not a whole parking lot. Indoor letters can be much smaller than an outdoor sign; the size guide shows how to pick a height.

Leave bare wall around it

A logo with plenty of empty wall around it looks deliberate. Send the wall width and a photo, and your drawing shows the logo at its size on that width.

Multi-color logos

Halo-lit faces are printed with your artwork, so a logo with several colors keeps them. Send a vector file (AI, PDF, SVG) and your brand color codes.

Questions about lobby and office signs

Does the halo show in a bright lobby?

In a very bright lobby the glow is subtle by day; the steel faces and your logo colors do the work. The halo shows more in the evening or in a space with softer lighting.

What kinds of walls can it go on?

Tell us the wall material (drywall, stone, tile or wood paneling) in the notes on the quote form. Every letter mounts flush, with a paper template to mark the holes. The mounting hardware is listed on your drawing.

What do we need for power?

The letters need power at the wall behind the sign, and the power supply is listed on your drawing. If the wall is new or being renovated, plan this before it is closed up. Have a licensed electrician make the power connection.

How big should a lobby sign be?

Smaller than most people expect. Measure the wall and the distance from the front door, and leave room around the logo. Your drawing shows the size we suggest.
